Also, as in any self-defense and martial arts training you must consider responsible to all the possibility of accidents and injury, even severe injury or death. Practice common sense and safety when training as part of the MAKTAN-FMA Event. All of the organizers, presenters, and instructors do not take any responsibility for any injury or death that may occur during this MAKTAN-FMA Event.

The purpose of the MAKTAN-FMA Event is to demonstrate aspects of Filipino Martial Arts (FMA) and not to provide a guarantee that by learning from the MAKTAN-FMA Event you will be able to defend yourself in a potential conflict, fight, or altercations from another person. By participating in the MAKTAN-FMA Event, you are agreeing that you understand all risks, including those detailed above mentioned and accept responsibility for the consequence of the training techniques, advice, and/or methodologies mentioned herein. By assuming the risk, you completely absolve all authors, creators, and affiliates of the MAKTAN-FMA Event from liability for any injury, death or misuse of the information contained herein. The organizers, presenters, and instructors shall have neither liability nor responsibility to any person or entity with respect to any loss or damage caused or alleged to be caused directly or indirectly by the MAKTAN-FMA Event, and the participant accepts total responsibility and agrees to hold the organizers, practitioners, and instructors of the MAKTAN-FMA Event harmless to any incidents.
